A 56-YEAR-OLD man from Lampeter who died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday (Sep 10) has received tributes.
Ricky Rees, a father of four, was returning home from work at 4:30pm when his bike was involved in a collision with a red Ford Transit. He was travelling towards Lampeter on the A482.
Hag Harris, a Lampeter councillor, said: “Ricky was a very popular man. He was quite a character with a lovely personality who had many friends.
“He was very likeable and someone who was very highly thought of locally. It’s a tragedy for his family and, in particular, for his children.
“We do not know what the circumstances of this accident were at this stage, but every time I travel that road, and I travel it almost daily, I cannot help reflecting on the number of fatalities that have occurred on this stretch between Lampeter and Aberaeron, which I find terribly sad.”
