MARK WILLIAMS, Member of Parliament for Ceredigion, celebrated Childline’s 30th birthday in Parliament on Wednesday (Nov 2) with Childline founder Dame Esther Rantzen and young Childline and NSPCC volunteers.
Childline has provided a free, confidential 24-hour counselling service for young people for the past 30 years and became part of the NSPCC in 2006.
Mark said: “I was pleased to meet and speak with young volunteers at Childline’s 30th birthday reception in Parliament this week and to celebrate their continued success and achievement.
“Childline is a vital service that has provided over 4 million young people with a confidential place to turn when they need to talk. Whether that’s due to bullying, abuse, problems at school or home, relationships or anything else.
“I want to congratulate Childline on the fantastic work they have done and service they have provided over the past 30 years, and I hope to see that continue for many years to come.”
