CARDIGAN RUNNING CLUB’S Mark Horsman won the Jan Younger Memorial 10K in Neyland on Sunday (May 14).
Horsman finished in a time of 38:11 and was just under a minute ahead of his nearest challengers.
Second was Aled Jones Davies, running for TROTs, with a time of 39:09.
Cardigan’s David Warren completed the top three, finishing just a second behind Davies who had overtaken him on the home straight.
The first of the Pembrokeshire Harriers over the line was Alec Williams who finished seventh overall with a time of 40:39.
The run started at Brunel Quay in Neyland and athletes had a scenic run along the River Cleddau before coming back to Brunel Quay for the finish.
70 runners took part in the event, which was organised by the Pembrokeshire Harriers which also included runners from Llanelli AC and the Swansea Harriers.
In the women’s field, Mary Bowen Rees finished first running for TROTs with a time of 45:18.
Julie Williams came home second with a time of 46:22 and the third placed lady, Tash Sexton, was just ten seconds behind, running for Pembrokeshire Harriers.
