Woman who was trapped under tractor airlifted to hospital

A WOMAN who was trapped under a tractor was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Jun 22) by the Wales Air Ambulance.

The woman was freed using hydraulic cutting equipment, which took approximately 90 minutes.

The incident took place at a farm in Tregaron.

The woman was transported to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.

A spokesperson for the Wales Air Ambulance said: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident involving an adult woman in the Tregaron, Ceredigion, area yesterday.

“We arrived on scene at 2.06pm and left the scene at 3.30pm.

“We airlifted the patient to Morriston Hospital, arriving at 3.54pm.”

A spokesperson for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “We attended a farm in the Tregaron area, having received the call at around 1.57pm.

“Three appliances attended and one casualty was released from a tractor with hydraulic cutting gear and small gear.

“She was then flown to hospital by the Wales Air Ambulance.”
