Online first for Commissioner

policecommisionTHE WORK of the Dyfed- Powys Police and Crime Commissioner is being reflected on a website about the history and heritage of Wales. It is thought that photos of Christopher Salmon at work across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys are the first PCC images in the People’s Collection Wales. Mr Salmon said: “As I oversee the spending of around £100m in taxpayers’ money every year, it’s right that people have every chance to understand my role.

People’s Collection Wales offers another opportunity for them to explore what I do.” The website, funded by the Welsh Government, exhibits photographs, recordings, documents, videos and stories submitted by the public. Free to use, it encourages widespread discussion of Wales’ cultural heritage.

The Commissioner’s first images on the site include reflections of days working in: Tenby; Rhayader, Powys; Aberaeron, Ceredigion; and Llandovery, Carmarthen. They show him meeting groups such as RNLI volunteers, community councillors, students and police officers. To access Mr Salmon’s initial People’s Collection Wales photos, log on to www. peoplescollectionwales.co.uk, click on Discover and search for “police commissioner.”
