Busnesau Aber cefnogi BID

Published

on

abercefMEWN ARDAL Gwella Busnes mae busnesau’n gweithredu ac yn ariannu cronfa fuddsoddi ar gyfer canol tref Aberystwyth. Codir ardoll o 1.25% ar werth ardrethol pob busnes cymwys er mwyn creu cronfa o fwy na miliwn o bunnau i’w fuddsoddi yn Aberystwyth dros bum mlynedd. Caiff yr arian ei wario ar raglen benodol o brosiectau a fydd yn rhoi pob cyfle i Aberystwyth lwyddo yn y cyfnod anodd hwn, a gwneud gwahaniaeth go iawn i’r dref yn y pum mlynedd dan sylw. Er mwyn sefydlu Ardal Gwella Busnes mae angen cynnal pleidlais ddemocrataidd o blith holl fusnesau’r Ardal Gwella Busnes arfaethedig.

Os bydd mwyafrif yn pleidleisio o blaid sefydlu Ardal Gwella Busnes, caiff cwmni newydd di-elw ei ffurfio – a bydd hwnnw’n cael ei reoli gan fwrdd o bobl fusnes leol – a fydd yn casglu treth gan yr holl fusnesau cymwys. Bydd y cyfraniadau hynny’n mynd at ariannu gwasanaethau a gwelliannau’r Ardal Gwella Busnes. Mae busnesau yn Aberystwyth wedi pleidleisio ar y cynnig BID. Derbyniwyd 97 pleidlais o blaid y cynnig, gyda 84 busnes yn pleidleisio yn erbyn y cynnig. Roedd 45% o’r rheiny a oedd yn medru pleidleisio wedi gwneud, sydd yn uchelach na’r cyfartaledd cenedlaethol o 40%. Nod yr AGB yw gwella’r ardal fel lle i weithio ac i ymweld ag ef.

Mae’r broses yma yn cael ei arwain gan grŵp llywio gwirfoddol o fobl busnes canol tref Aberystwyth o dan yr enw Aberystwyth ar y Blaen sydd wedi cael ei sefydlu ac wedi arwain proses o sefydlu’r AGB. Bydd y grŵp nawr yn ffurfio cwmni ‘nid er elw’ o bob busnes cymwys yn y dref – y rhai a fydd yn talu’r ardoll – waeth sut y gwnaethant bleidleisio. Bydd y cwmni AGB yn darparu prosiectau a gwasanaethau sydd wedi eu targedu sy’n newydd, unigryw a ddim yn cael eu darparu gan unrhyw asiantaeth neu sefydliad arall ar hyn o bryd. Mae Aberystwyth ar y Blaen am ddatblygu rhaglen pum mlynedd o welliannau yng nghanol y dref trwy gasglu ardoll wrth pob busnes cymwys.

Bydd potensial i gasglu ychydig dros £700,000 rhwng 2016 ac 2021 i’w fuddsoddi mewn rhaglen gynhwysfawr o welliannau. Gwneir pob ymdrech i ddod o hyd i arian cyfatebol o ffynonellau eraill. Caiff Aberystwyth ar y Blaen ei ariannu trwy godi ardoll o 1.25% ar werth trethiannol (GT) pob eiddo, neu uned busnes, sydd o fewn ffiniau’r AGB sydd a GT o £6,000 neu fwy. Ni fydd y busnesau sydd a GT is na hynny’n gorfod talu ardoll yr AGB.

Dywed y Cynghorydd Gareth Lloyd, Aelod Cabinet gyda chyfrifoldeb dros Ddatblygu Economaidd a Chymunedol: “Trwy pleidleisio o blaid yr AGB, mae busnesau wedi dangos bod ganddynt yr archwaeth i wneud newidiadau yn lleol sydd o bwysigrwydd iddyn hwy, a gwella canol y dref yr un pryd. “Mae hyn yn amser cyffrous i Aberystwyth, a dwi’n ddiolchgar i Aberystwyth ar y Blaen am eu ymdrechion i greu AGB.”

Dywed Tony Bates o Cyfreithwyr Morris & Bates ac sydd hefyd yn aelod o Grŵp Llywio Aberystwyth ar y Blaen: “Mae’r gwaith caled yn dechrau nawr a dwi’n gobeithio y gallwn denu pobl efo gweledigaeth, craffter busnes a cred yn Aberystwyth fel lle delfrydol i weithio a byw. Byddwn hefyd yn hoffi gweld rheiny wnaeth bleidleisio ‘yn erbyn’ yn dod yn rhan o Fwrdd y Cyfarwyddwyr, fel ein bod yn cynnwys sbectrwm deinamig ac eang o syniadau a phersonoliaethau.”

Bydd y rhaglen yn ffocysu ar wella mynediad a chysylltiadau fel parcio a gosod Wi-Fi am ddim. Bydd hefyd yn edrych ar farchnata a hybu a chynnal ymgyrchoedd Cysylltiadau Cyhoeddus a meithrin perthynas gyda’r wasg leol. Bydd yn creu cymuned fusnes gryfach trwy ddatblygu symbyliad i fusnesau a chynlluniau mentora ac atgyfnerthu’r berthynas trwy weithio gyda’r awdurdodau lleol a gweithio gyda’r mentrau cyfredol er mwyn atal troseddau. Bydd y gwasanaethau hyn yn ychwanegol i’r rhai sy’n cael eu darparu gan Gyngor Sir Ceredigion a Chyngor Tref Aberystwyth.

Published

on

CABINET members and senior officers in Ceredigion have signed ‘My Charter’. In doing so, Ceredigion County Council have become the first council to sign up to the charter. My Charter was written by people who have learning disabilities in West Wales.

The charter says that people who have learning disabilities want to have more chances in life, more choice and to be listened to. It also says that people who have learning disabilities want to be treated as adults, to be given dignity and respect and that their information is kept private.

Councillor Alun Williams is the Cabinet member responsible for Adult Services. He said: “People with learning disabilities have the same aspirations, hopes and feelings as everyone else. They deserve the same services and to be treated equally in a way that’s appropriate to their needs. I’m delighted that Ceredigion has become the first council to sign the charter, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this can positively influence the way our population of people with learning disabilities are treated in the future.”

The charter was developed by people who have learning disabilities from across Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
